10 Days In Cornwall - May 2026

We stayed at the St Agnes Beacon Caravan & Motorhome Club site which is one of our favourite sites on the North Cornish coast.

The location offers some great walks along the coast and down to Wheal Coates (probably the most photographed tin-mine ruins in Cornwall), as well as Chapel Porth and up to St Agnes Beacon (which we didn't do on this occasion).

As is becoming typical for our May holidays, the weather was pretty rubbish. Strong winds and rain, with only late evening snatches of sun. Being right on the coast, the site often becomes enshrouded in sea mist or low cloud. This doesn't really bother us early in the year as our first holiday is often just a 'reset' where we simply relax in the caravan reading books.

We still managed to get out and about, visiting some favourite locations within an hour of the site.
